things and stuff!
Thing the first, Muskrat Jamboree registration opens tomorrow! Be there, or--well, be not there. At MJ. Thingie.
(That went well.)
Thing the second! I don't do memes all that often, but I'm trying to do better about talking about myself, fannishly speaking, so, snagged from
ninasis and
shetiger:
01. Name a TV show series in which you have seen every episode at least twice:
Star Trek (TOS), Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5, Firefly, NCIS, Buffy, Jake 2.0, Jeremiah, Magnificent Seven... okay, this is sad. I'm just gonna stop. (Merlin, funny enough, not yet on this list. See me again after Saturday, though...)
02. Name a show you can't miss:
Merlin! *g* (like I said, current obsession.)
03. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to watch a show:
Christopher Gorham, Peter Stebbings, Kavan Smith, among others. I, um, watch a lot of shows for very little reason, so it's hard to say.
04. Name an actor who would make you less likely to watch a show:
Fran Drescher. Seriously, she bugs the shit out of me.
05. Name a show you can and do quote from:
Just one? Um, DS9: "Find him and kill him!"
06. Name a show you like that no one else enjoys:
Wait, does this mean as in "I've never seen any fannish yay about this show" or as in "I don't personally know anyone who likes this show?" I honestly can't think of anything for the former (I google a lot), and the latter I'm going to cheat on: "Kim Possible." (The Boy watches it with me, but I'm calling spousal exemption on him.)
07. Name a TV show which you've been known to sing the theme song:
Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears. This includes "while not, in fact, watching the show." Child of the 80s, right here.
08. Name a show you would recommend everyone to watch:
Is this necessary? Merlin! (Second choice: Eli Stone.)
09. Name a TV series you own on DVD:
Babylon 5. (This is where I made my mistake with #01--it says "a tv series," not "all of them." I'ma get mocked if I list all of them. I suspect I'ma get mocked anyway by anyone who's been to my apartment.)
10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops in television:
Rebecca Romijn.
11. What is your favorite episode of your favorite series?
Oof. Some of my favorites serieses, I don't have a single favorite episode, so I'll say DS9, "Civil Defense." (Followed closely by "In the Cards.")
12. Name a show you keep meaning to watch but you just haven’t gotten around to yet:
There's a few. I'll go with a new cartoon, "Wolverine & the X-Men." (I've seen all the previous incarnations, I want to see what they do with it this time.)
13. Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?
Astonishingly, yes. "Threshold," for one, because the science was so beyond handwavey bad that it made me actively angry.
14. Name a show that's made you cry multiple times:
Eli frickin' Stone. And by multiple times, I mean every episode.
15. What do you eat when you watch TV?
Um, yeah, The Boy and I eat dinner in front of the television. That's how we clear off the TiVo.
16. How often do you watch TV?
Shut up.
17. What's the last TV show you watched?
ER, last night.
18. What's your favorite/preferred genre of TV?
Scifi (particularly space opera), detective shows (particularly quirky/disturbed/vampire/immortal/whatever detectives), people whacking each other with swords. (That last long predates Merlin.)
19. What was the first TV show you were obsessed with?
Either original recipe Battlestar Galactica in first run or ST:TOS in syndication. I was 3 or 4 at the time, and I'm not sure which came first.
20. What TV show do you wish you never watched?
*shrugs* Andromeda spiraled down into a pit of flaming suck, but I've read some good stories in the fandom, so, I dunno. There are more that I regret the ending ripping my heart out than I regret ever having watched at all.
21. What is the weirdest show you enjoyed?
Define "weird." Farscape could be damn weird, as could American Gothic. Though possibly it might be Herman's Head. *g*
22. What TV show scared you the most?
I get startled, but not really scared, unless one of the characters I like is in mortal peril. Or the show's on the bubble come season finale time.
23. What is the funniest TV show you have ever watched?
Titus. Brilliantly dysfunctional, on a level I could very much relate to.
24. Do you prefer TV to films?
Generally yes, because I love big expansive fictional worlds, and films don't often have time enough to build those. On the other hand, a single film is more often uniformly good or bad than a tv show, and you never have to suffer through something that used to be awesome going terribly downhill. (Well, except for sequels.)
25. Name 3 TV relationships that you love.
Merlin and Arthur! (that was soooo telegraphed.)
Bashir and O'Brien on DS9.
DiNozzo and McGee on NCIS.
(shut up,
shetiger. I have other types, too...)
(That went well.)

OMG, there was an ep of Titus that made me laugh harder than anything else ever had. I think he was having a drunken date with a girlfriend made out of straw and he accidentally set her on fire? Could. Not. Breathe.

I have to remember to go look up the MJ stuff and register! Thank you for reminding me!

Yes! You must register for MJ, or we will defriend you in real life omg.
no subject
Yes, remembering! I think I have reminded myself enough! The high council is hard at work, the least I can do is register!

Also, \o/!

Heh, sorry. It's better than the other things we used to do to gummi bears, like stretching them into weasels...
Did we just invent Disney Gummi Bear PORN? And why am I not surprised? *shameface* Porning here and there and everywhere...

But! But! But it had Carla Gugino! And Brent Spiner! And and and!
...sigh.
Also: *hates you for practically requiring me to add Merlin to my *koff* list*
no subject
And you're not required to add it to your list. You'll just have gained both my undying affection and some really slashy pretty boys to look at. *g*
no subject
What, I don't already have your undying affection? *storms off, pouting*

Although it's somewhat irrelevant, since PCA is the following weekend in NOLA and I've promised about 20 people I'd be there even though I can't really afford it. :\

I was delighted to give ICFA a miss b/c of MJ and MiT6. I'm just sayin'.
