The Boy and I have stepped the house-hunting way, way up, which means we're even crazier than usual. There are many details to remember to check on for every single place! I have looked at far too many online listings, and they've started to blur together! I had to start a notebook AND a file folder! I am--failing at everything else!

But I have to give total props to The Boy, who has done ALL of the calling of real estate agents for showings, and the mortgage preapproval stuff. He is awesome. He deserves congratulatory butt-pats from anyone who feels inclined to give them. *g*

In the meantime, all is not doom and gloom and panic attacks.

1) I got a polar bear! Thank you, anonymous polar-bear gifter!

2) A painted lady sat on my lap! (well, sort of. technically, a butterfly landed on, well, the crotch of my jeans while I was waiting for a bus. and I chased it off before I realized it was a flutterby and not a much creepier insect, because my "bug!" fear is a strong one. sorry, harmless flutterby! please don't let my nervousness keep you from molesting other humans!)

3) VID REC. wistful_fever has made a fabulous, fabulous NCIS vid, Office Politics. It's DiNozzo/McGee, and it manages to capture the unmitigated glee that is the pair of them. If you've ever had the slightest interest in what shetiger and I babble about, if I've ever made you watch clips off my iPod of the two of them, or if you just like slashy pretty boys, you NEED to skedaddle over and watch this vid. It is MADE OF HAPPY.

I have been totally converted into the NCIS love by the NCIS marathons they've been having, and now that I have a DVR I can keep up with more than two shows (I never started watching it, cause I had all I could do to remember to watch Atlantis & House, both of which I ADORE).

I love all of the characters, and my child is totally enamored of Abby. heh -- a new role model for her :-).
