So, in case y'all haven't heard (I only found out this week), the Kids in the Hall are touring for the next couple of months with all-new material!

I saw them at the Boston show last night (at the Wang Centre. obligatory hee), and they were awesome. (It didn't hurt that I was five rows from the stage. The up side to buying solo tickets.)

If they're coming to a venue anywhere near you, I highly recommend going. And, yes, there is Kid-on-Kid action onstage. *g*

THANK YOU! They are coming to me, but a friend said her friends saw them during their last tour here and thought it was awful. I was half talked out of it.

I shall now go buy tickets.

I think that during their last tour they might have been kind of, y'know, the Beatles at the end of things: cranky and kind of hating each other a little bit. (or a LOT.)

But the AV Club interview made it sound like they were honestly, genuinely happy to be together, and last night bore that out--in fact, some of the best parts were where they cracked each other up on stage, and then had to pause for a second or two because they were laughing too hard to talk. *g*

Oh, AV Club, what would I do without you? That's what started this whole thing, and I'm with you: the article really made it sound exciting. So I'm glad to have first-hand proof.

I did! I got home a little late, and then I was perched on the bed because my shoes hurt my feet, that's why I didn't give you the immediate post-mortem. (The things we do for fashion.)

Oh, man, I'd love to see them! Why must I be poor? Why must I be poor??*

*giggles*

Yeah, I'm really quite over this "working for a living" thing. It's been done. I can has independent wealth now?

Now see, at first I thought you were talking about some boy band and I was going to have to thump you feel your forehead.

But you went solo; the boy wasn't up to going?

Hee! No, I am still more likely to go to a heavy metal concert, myself. I'm so weird.

The Boy declined, then ended up regretting it and changing his mind, but not in time to actually make it to the theater. (And they say women are indecisive.) But since I got such a good seat, I told him I'm never going to a concert with him again. *g*

That interview is great! I remember how they seemed to be pretty much hating it a few years ago, by all reports, and it's awesome that they're able to get back in the game and enjoy working together again, this far along in their careers.

It really is! And it was just so much fun to watch it live--it was SO obvious that they're just loving every minute of it. *g*
